SMART Launches Media
Relations Campaign for Textile Recycling Awareness
|
 |
KSG has coordinated the creation
and launch of a new
press kit on behalf of the Secondary Materials And Recycled
Textiles (SMART) Association. This press kit is the result of a
three month media counseling program that included media
training for SMART staff |
and key board members, to better provide the
message of the important role that textile recycling plays in the
environment and the economy.
The press kit was unveiled at the SMART 2011 Annual Convention by
SMART’s media consultant Rob Weinhold, Jr. of the
Fallston
Group. The press kit is a vital component of SMART’s overall public
relations campaign supporting the goal of increasing awareness of
textile recycling and the opportunities it brings for a cleaner
environment and stronger economy.
The Business of Meetings
Recently, KSG staff participated in events
supporting the case for face-to-face meetings, a significant part of
most associations’ membership value propositions.

KSG Supports its Local
Community
In 2010 the KSG Staff Team pledged to
participate in community service events as a team, as a means to support
local church and civic organizations in their service to residents in
need. During the 2010 holiday season, the KSG Team collected food and
household supplies which were donated to local homeless shelters and
womens’ shelters as part of our community outreach.
Community service project plans for 2011 include participation in
ServeFest, a one-day, hands-on serving event taking place on Saturday,
May 14th in various locations in the Baltimore area. ServeFest
coordinates dozens of different types of projects including school
grounds clean-up, park clean-up, home and facility repairs, and
